For Zhu’s debut performance at Hard Summer, I served as the Art Director for content creation, guiding the visual narrative from concept through execution. In addition to directing the video shoot, I curated and integrated archival stock footage to create layered, cinematic storytelling. The stage, designed by V-Squared Labs, featured a dual-projection system with a front scrim and a rear screen programmed to run in perfect sync, allowing content to unfold in dimensional layers. This approach gave the performance a striking sense of depth and mystery, amplifying Zhu’s aesthetic while delivering a powerful, immersive festival experience
